    Engineering co-op students at Mubea, NA are considered to be an integral part of our Engineering staff and are provided with tasks that are both technically challenging and educationally stimulating. Under the guidance of our engineering staff, you will be assigned to projects related to Production, Controls, Quality or Research & Design areas.

     

     

    Responsibilities

     

    • Lead teams and foster involvement of all associates in lean practices and problem solving efforts.
    • Data collection and analysis with improvement plans. May include, but not limited to productivity, total productive maintenance, downtime, scrap and change over initiatives.
    • Support Value Stream Mapping Activities and follow-up through Kaizen implementation.
    • Lead 5S efforts, including planning, implementing and supporting plant floor and maintenance activities.
    • Perform cycle time studies to create and validate production standards including standardized work.
    • Improve process layout and material flow.
    • Identify and implement cost, scrap and waste reduction activities.
    • Recommend and implement improvement to the manufacturing processes.

     

    Qualifications

     

    • Must be a currently enrolled, degree seeking student from Industrial Engineering
    • Strong written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills required.
    • Working knowledge of computer application software such as MS Office, MS Access, Minitab, AutoCAD, SAP, VBA (training will be provided if needed).
    • Ability and desire to work in a fast paced, manufacturing environment.
    • Must be able to work overtime when required.
    • Must be organized and work well with constantly priority changes.
    • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
